I, For One, Welcome Our Remote-Controlled Robotic Fire-Breathing Dragon Overlords
How would you change the LG Nitro HD?
AT&T's LG Nitro HD is one of those rare devices your writer has actually used. We carried it as our daily driver during this year's CES and were won over by that gorgeous screen, speedy LTE and its thin and light design. Unfortunately our experience matched those in the review: herky-jerky performance and battery life that meant we were always on the lookout for a power point. Of course, you can't have amazing battery life without doubling its thickness, but would you have taken that compromise? We're asking you: how would you change it?

No, AirPlay Is Not The New Apple TV
If you asked your mom or dad what DLNA or UPnP stood for or did, would they just look at you weird? While the two technologies enable users to wirelessly beam content to Internet Connected TVs from their tablets, phones, and computers, Apple?s AirPlay is the first implementation that makes the experience seamless. Tap the button again and playback resumes on your root device. No complicated setup is required - it simply works. Some, like Bloomberg and Hunter Walk, have suggested that AirPlay is Apple TV, and that Apple will simply license AirPlay to the major Connected TV manufactures - and by default every Connected TV sold will be an "Apple TV" - the remote being your iPhone or iPad. It's certainly a sensible theory - there are 250 M+ iOS devices, and with the upcoming OS X update, laptops can now leverage Airplay as well. That's over 300M Apple devices that can push content to TVs.tim ferriss wmt human nature arkansas football howard johnson blackhawks real housewives of new jersey

Waka Flocka Ready To 'Smash' Drake's Club Paradise Tour
'Why not put us all together? I salute him for that,' Flocka tells MTV News of Drizzy tapping new all-stars like French Montana and 2 Chainz.

Waka Flocka Flame is ready to hit the club.
On May 7, Waka, J. Cole, Meek Mill, 2 Chainz and French Montana will hit the road with Drake on the next leg of the Toronto rapper's ever-evolving Club Paradise tour.
"You know, the kings of the club gotta go to the club," Flocka told MTV News earlier this week at a Brooklyn, New York photo shoot. "They told me Club Paradise is the most popping-iest club in the United States right now."
The 27-city run will kick off in Concord, California, and move through amphitheatres in Las Vegas, Houston, Chicago and New York.
"I want to go out on tour with the most exciting artists right now, and I want to make sure that I have songs with all of them," Drizzy said during a conference call for the press on Tuesday. "If we start getting into it and we start really vibing, maybe the last few nights, it's a collaboration show; maybe we do all of our songs onstage together."
Right now, there are few rap artists more exciting than the energetic Waka Flocka, whose latest single, "Round of Applause," has become a strip-club staple. "He's like, 'We the new era, we the new faces of rap, we the new generation,' " the Atlanta riot-starter said of a conversation he and Drake had. "So why not put us all together? I salute him for that. You know I'm about to smash that."
Though he's the headliner, Drake doesn't look at his tourmates as opening acts. Instead, he'll treat Club Paradise as if it were an all-star music experience similar to the popular Coachella or Bamboozle festivals.
"On this tour, I encourage people to get there early, because it's more [of] a festival vibe, if anything," he said. "It's one of those days that's it's going to start during the sunlight and the sun's going to drop, it's outdoors, it's summertime ... I want people to make it a day."
Aside from Drake, who are you most excited to see on the next leg of the Club Paradise Tour? Tell us in the comments!

Fuel TV asks for fans patience as they work for wider availability
During last week's UFC on Fuel event, Cagereaders vented their frustration about the lack of availability of Fuel across the country and how they are missing out on fights, pre and post-fight shows and news magazine shows. One reader said he hasn't missed a single UFC event in six years until the UFC started showing fights on Fuel, a station he can't get on Comcast, the nation's largest cable provider.
Readers also said that they have, on several occasions, called their cable provider to ask for Fuel. However, they have no idea if it's doing any good. Since the UFC started working with Fuel TV in January, there has been little word on if Fuel will be carried more widely any time soon.
Though Fuel won't say when, they did respond to Cagewriter's questions with this statement:
Everyone at FUEL TV wants exactly what UFC fans want ? to make our network available to every UFC fan possible. We appreciate their patience and have a team working diligently with distributors to make the network more widely available as quickly as possible.? In the meantime, we encourage UFC fans to call their TV provider and request that FUEL TV be added to their network lineup. ?Because, let's face it, watching UFC on FUEL TV is clearly a much better viewing experience than having to stream the fights online. To get FUEL TV, go to www.fuel.tv/getfueltv, or call 877-4 FUEL-TV.
The problem with patience is that it's rarely infinite in its supply. UFC fans who don't have Fuel missed out on Alexander Gustafsson, an exciting light heavyweight prospect. They may have patiently missed out on seeing his big win over Thiago Silva. How will fans react to missing the next breakout performance? Will they patiently wait until Fuel becomes widely available, or will they fail to care when it does?

Software patch coming to T-Mobile HTC One S to address Wifi calling battery drain

HTC and T-Mobile have a fix in the works to address the battery drain issues while the HTC One S is using Wifi calling. There's no real detail and what the issue is, but AC member venious, who has been using the One S since Day 1, thinks that while on a call using the Wifi calling feature, the battery is drained more than normal. So far, battery life has not been a major concern across the various Internet forums for the device.
Wifi calling is a big draw for many (including yours truly) and it's great to see any issues identified so quickly. While we have no word on when to expect any software patch, this being one of HTC's (and T-Mobile's) flagship phones means they should be prioritizing any fix. We'll all keep an eye out for it. In the meantime, we're talking all about the things we love, the things we don't, and the lust we have for this one in the One S forums -- jump in and join us!

Thanks, venious!

PSA: Space Shuttle Enterprise flying over NYC this morning
JFK may be a place that many, many people have gone to before, but it's safe to say that the Space Shuttle Enterprise will be going there boldly. Much like the Space Shuttle Discovery turned heads in DC last week, Space Shuttle Enterprise will be stopping traffic in New York City today. NASA has confirmed that today's 747-100 ferry flight across Manhattan is a "Go" and that the duo will "fly at a relatively low altitude over various parts of the New York City metropolitan area on Friday" before landing at JFK. The Shuttle will then, in the coming weeks, be put on a ferry of a floating variety and brought to the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum. Today's flying tour is scheduled to take place between 9:30 and 11:30 am and... oh look, at the time, we must be going.
Update: NASA has confirmed takeoff from Dulles! The flight plan is not known, but as before your best bet is to follow the #spottheshuttle hashtag on Twitter.

Matchmaker, matchmaker: ?Big Nog?s? next bout, moving around title bouts, and Hector Lombard?s new home
Here's the latest in fights made and fighters signed by the UFC's yentes.
-- Somehow, not every heavyweight bout isn't on UFC 146. Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira will fight Cheick Kongo at UFC 149 in Calgary. This is Big Nog's first fight back since Frank Mir snapped his arm.
-- The moving around of title fights isn't over with Chael Sonnen's bout with Anderson Silva. Jose Aldo's title fight may move to UFC 147 in Brazil, which doesn't have a venue, and Dan Henderson may face Jon Jones for the UFC light heavyweight belt at UFC 149 in Calgary. With summer looming, few pay-per-view cards outside of UFC 148 in Las Vegas are set.
-- Though there isn't a fight yet scheduled for him, former Bellator champion Hector Lombard will make the move to the UFC. MMA Fighting found out from Bellator CEO Bjorn Rebney, and then Lombard confirmed the news on Twitter. His last loss was in 2006, and Rebney said he is confident Lombard will be the UFC middleweight champ.
-- Marcus LeVesseur will make his UFC debut against Cody McKenzie at UFC on Fuel 3 on May 15 in Virginia, taking the place of Aaron Riley. Wrestling fans will recognize LeVesseur as four-time D-III national champion. He's been fighting since 2003 and has a record of 21-5. TUF alum McKenzie is on a three-fight losing streak.
UPDATE: One more bout for your enjoyment. Mark Munoz will take on Chris Weidman at UFC on Fuel 4 on July 11. The just-announced event does not yet have a location, but is important in deciding who will fight for the middleweight belt next.

Linux Foundation To Host Open Source Cloud Conference ?CloudOpen?
It wasn't that long ago that I complained about cloud fragmentation issues. There were some interesting observations in the comments on that post. Now word comes that the Linux Foundation is hosting CloudOpen, a "new conference to advance openness in the cloud." Most of the major players are already committed to participating at CloudOpen: Canonical, Citrix, Dell, Eucalyptus, HP, IBM, Intel, OpenStack, Red Hat and SUSE. From the press release: "Designed for software developers and IT managers responsible for deploying and developing cloud solutions, CloudOpen will feature technical content that includes ... big data strategies and open cloud platforms and tools. This conference will also cover open source best practices and how they relate to topics such as company data and APIs."southern university regenesis fanboys ucla usc ucla usc sean taylor usc football
